DX9WARE Initial Setup

Ensuring maximum security

• make sure no other kernel anti cheats are running

• after you're done using DX9WARE, restart your system

Exclude DX9WARE
  • Press the ⊞ key + R, type in:
  • • ms-settings:windowsdefender
    • 1.a
  • Press OK
  • Hit • Virus & threat protection
    • 1.b
  • Click • Manage settings
    • 1.c
  • Scroll down & click • Add or remove exclusions
    • 1.d
  • Select • + Add an exclusion
    • 1.e
  • Exclude:
  • • DX9WARE (loader.exe)
  • • %appdata%\dx9ware folder
  • if you don't see the %appdata%\dx9ware folder, create it at:
  • • C:\Users\YOUR_USER\AppData\Roaming
  • After following these steps, your Exclusions page should look like this:

Disable Core Isolation ⊞

The steps below are for Windows 11 only

  • Press the ⊞ key + R, type in:
  • • ms-settings:windowsdefender
    • 2.a
  • Press OK
  • Click on • Device security
    • 2.b
  • Select • Core isolation details
    • 3.c
  • Disable:
  • • Memory integrity
    • 4.d
  • Restart your computer
  • Go to the Core isolation page again
  • Disable:
  • • Microsoft Vulnerable Driver Blocklist
    • 4.e
  • If you're unable to disable it at this point:
  • Press the ⊞ key + R, type in:
  • • regedit
    • 4.f
  • Navigate to:
  • • HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Control\CI\Config
    • 4.g
  • Make sure VulnerableDriverBlocklist is set to 0
  • Restart your computer
  • After following these steps, your Core isolation page should look like this:
